Just like the moon, you too grow with the light and recede with the darkness. You wax, you wane. You are introverted you are extroverted. You shine in the light and you rest in the shade. And right now ... just like the waxing crescent of the moon, you too are growing light and gaining momentum.
This light brings desires into manifestation and it illuminates what is ready to be seen, felt and acknowledged by the heart and therefore brought into manifestation within the world.
During the transition from the darkness into the light from the New Moon to the Full Moon, we wax. We grow. We become impregnated with possibility. Within the trinity of moon cycles (the Triple Goddess), the waxing moon is known as the Maiden. She is associated with expansion, inception and enchantment. She is at the beginning of the cycle, and is therefore associated with the promise of new beginnings; growing from the darkness of the womb and birthing life into the fullness of the light.
Living by the moon and seeing the phases of your life reflected in her light gives you the opportunity to tune into this archetypal energy at any moment ... and the energy of this moment ... of this waxing moon is of new beginnings.
We are coming out of the Solstice ... literally out of the darkest day of the year ... and are now growing not only with the lunar light but also with the light of the season. We are literally emerging and evolving out of the darkness of night into the light of the day with the amplified energy of the growing light from the Winter Solstice towards the Spring Equinox mirroring the current growing light of the moon. This provides a vast template of new and unlimited possibilities for your light to shine in any innumerable directions.
And with this growing energy, your goals, dreams, desires are planted in fertile ground. The potent awareness and intent of your thoughts towards your desires during this phase helps them grow as the moon grows. At this point in the cycle, the Maiden holds the seeds of tomorrow in her hands, just waiting for them to grow along with the light.
So bring intention and consciousness to what you want to grow in your life. WHAT DO YOU WANT? WHAT DO YOU WISH FOR? WHAT DO YOU SO DEEPLY DESIRE? What you want to see anchored with deep roots and blooming with bright buds?
Set your intentions ... but know that there is power in the moon's magic and she can't help but grant your wishes ... so choose ... and choose mindfully and heartfully ... and without attachment (because she always knows what we need more than we know ourselves) allow your dreams to bloom into the light of being.
